Merchant leopard. Particularly likes to visit the Shawri Tribe. She has runic markings, and likes to use levitation magic to pick things up off the ground.

Emani’e

Species: Runic Leopard / Volcanic Lion

Newest among the Pride of Mandagora warriors. Emani’e is half Runic Leopard and half Volcanic Lion. She struggled a lot with bullying in her youth, and joined the Pride of Mandagora to prove to herself that she is strong enough. Emani’e admires Vaquisi and hopes to be accepted among the Pride members.

Valtae Shawri

Species: Island Lion / Plateau Tiger

Firstborn of the Shawri chief, and Amari’s more sensible older brother, Valtae carries more of his family’s obligations in Amari’s constant absence. He is close friends with Temara, always visiting her when he has downtime to see what’s new in her shop, and to keep an eye on bandits. He’s fun and easygoing, but protective.

Temara

Species: Island Lion

Temara is Amari’s best friend. She lives near the outskirts of the Shawri Village’s mainland, where she runs a trade shop. She’s a petite lioness and is often mistaken to be younger than she appears. Temara is a hopeless romantic.

T’chad is a very energetic and proactive warrior residing in the Shawri Tribe. He was adopted into the tribe after being orphaned as a newborn. He is very likable and charitable in town. He desires Amari’s hand in marriage, but finds it a difficult task.

Keta was a legendary fighter and leader of the all-female warriors of Mandagora. Her death resulted in heightened defenses and security for the tribe of Mandagora. Her husband, Beteme, was devastated from her loss. Her son has little memory of her, but thrives on the honor she brought to the tribe.

Species: Volcanic Lion

Member of the Pride of Mandagora. Very hearty, laughs a lot, and enjoys drinking. She’s very friendly, but will pass gossip around.

Bai’sune

Species: Volcanic Lion

Eldest among the Pride of Mandagora warriors. She is the wisest among the group, and though she is loyal to her leader’s wishes, despite Vaquisi’s violent decisions, she also is one of the few who can persuade Vaquisi otherwise in many situations.

Bholi

Species: Temple Wolf

Bholi is a sorceress, who does not live by her tribe’s docile values. She is often at odds with her brother, Faedin, who works directly with the chief. Though Bholi does not hold any power within her tribe, she uses her sexual appeal to bid stragglers and outcasts to her causes. She does not often showcase a direct use of magic, but is known for delegation and manipulative means of persuasion.

Palora Shawri

Species: Plateau Tiger

Palora is a survivor from the, now destroyed, Itora Tribe. She was accepted into the Shawri Tribe through her marriage with Chief Rova, and is now the designated Oracle and healer. While she is the only one in the village allowed to use her magic, she sternly speaks against it’s misuse.

Amari Shawri

Species: Island Lion / Plateau Tiger

Amari Shawri is the second born offspring to the Shawri chief. She is an inquisitive Gem Hunter who journeys to discover magical gems and their abilities. She avoids public interactions and events by frequently venturing outside of the Shawri village, against her family’s wishes. Because of this, she often finds herself facing danger, but she enjoys the thrill more than village life.

Samyu

Species: Island Lion

Samyu is an isolated island lion who lives within the Mandagora village as an herbalist. He takes after his deceased parents who studied medicinal properties in combination to gemstone magic to create potions and poisons.

Although Samyu doesn’t socialize much, he finds himself always needed when others have questions about unusual symptoms or magics. He doesn’t usually have all the answers, but it does generate a burning curiosity for him to find out the answers.

Samyu is loveable and adores colorful flowers and fabrics, but he is extremely irritable when his personal space is invaded. Continue reading

Vaquisi

Species: Volcanic Lion

Vaquisi is an abnormally strong leader of the Pride of Mandagora. Her desire is to become the Chief of the Mandagora Tribe, but her illness associated with the perma-bound Poison Stone prevents her from staying in control of her beast behaviors. As a young girl, she admired Keta Mandagora as a motherly figure, but envied Kano’s position as biological offspring.

I’ive

Species: Spirit Hare

I’ive is quiet and sensitive, and likes to keep to himself. He enjoys the company of his family, but to escape their rambunctious personalities, he will often meditate and connect with others around the world through spiritual lines. Because of his genetic background, channeling is easy, but he is still unable to receive clear visual imagery.

Kooma

Species: Spirit Hare

Kooma is a friend to dark spirits. She’s attracted to the dead who have had history of bad behavior because she is fascinated with their stories of life and death. She is capable of seeing spirits in the form of ethereal masses, but she also chooses not to summon anything into a physical existence. While she’s not into dark spirituality to conjure anything anyways, she does venture across the continent to get a deeper understanding of abnormal influences on the living.
